Delegates from 171 different countries gathered at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress for the 10th anniversary of the event

1MillionStartups and EBAN attended the Congress in Istanbul, Turkey.

On 16-19 April, the Global Entrepreneurship Congress gathered together thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, policymakers and other startup champions from more than 170 countries. Taking place in Istanbul, GEC 2018 strove to identify new ways of helping founders start and scale new ventures around the world. EBAN was represented at the event by President Candace Johnson, Vice President Baybars Altuntas, and Board Member Albert Colomer, among others, and 1MillionStartups was represented by the founder Selma Prodanovic.

During the Global Entrepreneurship Congress, EBAN also took part in the Global Business Angels Network General Assembly, where EBAN Vice President Baybars Altuntas was named as a co-chair of GBAN.

For 1MillionStartups it was the opportunity to present the platform, 1MillionStartups members and the first Global Entrepreneurship Declaration to the attendants.
