Driving the energy transition – the digital transformation is the Blue Minds' business

We are honored to present to you the contributor to SDG7 that inspires us - Mrs. Eveline Steinberger-Kern, founder of the Blue Minds company.

After Eveline had finished her PhD in economics, she ended up in the energy industry rather by chance. She also had little knowledge of electrons and voltage. “I could not even distinguish kilowatts from kilowatt-hours. That changed quickly when I joined Austria's largest energy provider, Verbund,” Eveline tells. Not only did she quickly learn the business from scratch - it became her heart's desire. Eveline's profound expertise and passion led her to Siemens AG, for which she took responsibility for the Central Eastern Europe energy portfolio in 19 countries, including Turkey and Israel.

Today Eveline is working with the Blue Minds Company which she founded in 2014, to secure global access to affordable electricity from clean energy sources such as the sun and wind.

“Expanding infrastructure and improving technology to provide clean energy sources in all countries is a key objective that can both stimulate growth and help the environment.”

Technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics or predictive maintenance make it possible to use the new renewable energy technologies on a decentralized and broad basis. The Blue Minds Company has therefore conspired to ensure the emergence and scale-up of these business models. There are now numerous examples from the Blue Minds portfolio. Among them Fsight Energy, Energy Hero, Collective Energy, has-to-be, Cylus Cybersecurity or Pexapark. The Israeli innovation- and tech ecosystem plays a central role in the technology development of the Blue Minds Company.
