When talking about decent work, it is very important to know where to look for one. And the startup connecting those who provide decent workplaces and those who are looking for one is our startup of the week - hokify.

What is hokify?

hokify is a mobile App and a progressive Web App that enables a user-friendly job search and job application process on any device.

"We developed a completely new way of applying for jobs in the form of a fully automated chat-based job interview, which makes the process more intuitive and reduces bounce rates in the application process. Companies predefine required information when posting a job on our platform and this information is asked for in some simply chat questions. Thereby we enable jobseekers to compose highly relevant job applications from their mobile device (on average in 3 minutes). We successfully connect an increasing number of job seekers with companies and bring great value to the labor market. After having applied for a job, companies get in touch instantly via our in-App chat to arrange a job interview or get to know you better."

How many users do you have?

"Since our launch in February 2016, we grew our platform to more than 750.000 monthly active users and more than 28.000 registered companies. Only recently we reached the major milestone of more than 60.000+ sent job applications per month with hokify."

Why is hokify different?

"We provide young jobseekers and pupils with a rather lower level of education with a tool for more successful job search and application. Our customers are companies looking for employees in the blue-collar segment. We provide our service to job seekers for free and assist them in every aspect of job search and application through our service hotline, CV check, and YouTube Career Counseling Channel."

How did it all start?

"The founding team is comprised of Simon Tretter, Daniel Laiminger and Karl Edlbauer. They got to know each other through their studies at Vienna University of Economics and Business and worked together as volunteers in another HR startup. After getting to know the industry and becoming aware of the large potential of modern mobile recruiting they founded the company. The team hokify consists of 40 fully motivated individuals who give everything daily to constantly improve how employers and job seekers connect.
