US launch of 1MilllionStartups and Global Entrepreneurship Declaration in New York

New York City, September 25th – Investors from across the globe interested in SDG startups and supporting the Global Entrepreneurship Declaration gathered at the first 1MIllionStartups Investors’ Cocktail in New York during UN Climate Week

The US launch of 1MillionStartups and the Global Entrepreneurship Declaration was organized on September 25th, during the UN General Assembly and UN Climate Week. Hosted by Advantage Austria New York and with the support of UNIDO, over 50 early-stage investors from the New York and East-Coast ecosystem, from Asia, Middle-East, Africa and Europe gathered at the exclusive cocktail over the roofs of New York.

The event has been hosted by Michael Friedl, the Austrian Trade Commissioner and Head of Advantage Austria New York. Bernardo Calzadilla-Sarmiento, UNIDO Managing Director presented the role of UNIDO in influencing impact, while 1MillionStartups Advisory Board Member Cameron Sinclair interviewed Yasmine El-Baggari, Founder & CEO of Voyaj on the future of human connections.

Inspired by the influence of the UN Climate Week, the event provided a unique opportunity to connect across industries and geographies as to invest in SDG startups, join and support the 1MillionStartups community in a variety of roles from business member to co-investor, and sign the Global Entrepreneurship Declaration.
